Beth is a PhD student at The University of Sheffield researching video game communities. She is especially interested in the ways in which people interact with video games and video game culture, and what this interaction provides players with. Her PhD focuses on the video game League of Legends.

Beth is also a research assistant at The University of Sheffield, working on the MakEY project since 2017.
